Tree Snake - Mangarn

My name is Chern’ee Sutton and I am a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people from the Mount Isa area in Queensland.

This painting is called “Mangarn” which means “Tree Snake” in the Kalkadoon language and this painting tells why the tree snake now lives in the trees.
