Kookaburra Dreaming - Jullen Guh Ritjinguthinha
My name is Brooke Sutton and I am a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people from the Mount Isa area in Queensland. This painting is called “Jullen Guh Ritjinguthinha” in the Kalkadoon language which means “Kookaburra Dreaming”.
This painting tells the story of how the jealous kookaburra who never used to have a voice now laughs in the distance.
