This is my interpretation of “Nully Nully” which means in the Kalkadoon language “Purple Necked Rock Wallaby”.
The purple necked rock wallaby calls Kalkadoon country his home, he jumps from rock to rock and mountain to mountain with graceful agility. In my painting the rocks and mountains are represented by the brown dots and the teal blue dots represent the waterholes that give him life.
