Possum Dreaming - Mirrampa Ritjinguthinha

My name is Brooke Sutton and I am a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people from Mount Isa in Queensland. This painting is called “Mirrampa Ritjinguthinha” in the Kalkadoon language which means “Possum Dreaming”.

This painting tells the story of the possum’s journey through life making a home in the tree’s and only coming out in the beautiful moonlit sky to feed and drink.
