Commonwealth Games Dignitaries add their Fingerprints to Chern'ee's Painting
I was an artist in residence for 14 days at the Athletes Village for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games where I created an interactive art piece with dignataries, athletes and guests from around the world. The painting measures 9 metres long x 1.83 metres tall and it is a timeline of Australia's history and the piece is called "Caina Putut, Ilya, Wartanganha" which means in the Kalkadoon language - "Long ago, Today, Tomorrow".
Dignitaries included His Royal Highness Charles Prince of Wales, His Royal Highness Prince Edward Earl of Wessex, City of Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate, Dawn Fraser, Ian Thorpe, Mark Stockwell and Sara Carrigan Village Mayor and Mayoress, Louise Martin President of the Commonwealth games Federation and Borobi to name a few.
