The Galah – Kilaurra
My name is Chern’ee Sutton and I am a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people from the Mount Isa area in Queensland. This painting is called “Kilaurra” in the Kalkadoon language which means “Galah”.
The galah with its bold, loud and mischievous behavior searches for his one true love and once found spends his entire life with her.
