Platypus Dreaming - Rantani Kalu Ritjinguthinha

My name is Chern’ee Sutton and I am a contemporary Aboriginal artist from the Kalkadoon people from the Mount Isa area in Queensland. This is my interpretation of “Rantani Kalu Ritjinguthinha” which means in the Kalkadoon language “Platypus Dreaming”.

This painting represents the beauty of the platypus and tells the story of how she got her bill so she could find food.
